Heel & Arch Pain
- Pain in the heel or arch during or after activity
- Morning stiffness that improves with movement
- Swelling around the heel or arch
- Tenderness to touch along the heel

Diagnosing the Source
Heel and arch pain can come from multiple sources: the plantar fascia, the heel bone, surrounding nerves, or the tendons that support the arch. Getting the right diagnosis is the most important first step, and it changes the treatment plan entirely.
We use on-site X-ray and nerve testing to identify the true source before recommending anything. Many patients arrive having been treated for plantar fasciitis when another condition is actually driving their pain.
Common Causes
- Plantar fasciitis, the most common cause
- Heel spurs, bony growths on the heel bone
- Baxter's nerve entrapment, nerve compression at the heel
- Stress fractures, from overuse or sudden load increases
- Posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, affecting arch support
